HNX HC Captures Summer Championship With Stunning Victory Over Ninja Pandas 24 August 2025 | It took 6 years and a pandemic but Gary Neath is once again a champion.
Neath backstopped 26 shots including several key ones early in the game as the HNX HC cruised to a 6-1 victory over power house Ninja Pandas for the HNX Summer Championship.
The last time Neath won a championship was back in the summer of 2019 when he posted one of the most dominant seasons ever, going 17-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs (It did help that they had a guy named Quinton on the team).
"This victory is a lot sweeter. We played our best game collectively tonight. Everyone did a great job shutting down the other side. I'm really proud of the guys", Neath said post-game.
The Pandas were without one of their key players as Tim Dupuis was not able to attend the game.

Hutter Destroys Top Cheese 11 August 2025 | David Hutter set many HNX records last night as he lifted his team on his back and swam across an ocean while obliterating his opponents and helping the Deadpucks advance to the semi-finals with a 11-4 victory over Top Cheese
Hutter ended the night with 7 goals (HNX record) and a couple helpers as he continues to quietly dominate the league each season.
Other notable records: fastest 3-goal sequence by one player (three goals in a 34-second span) and most goals (6 goals) scored consecutively by one player.
Hutter opened the scoring less than five minutes into the game while shorthanded when a Top Cheese pass to the point skipped over the stick of defenseman Kien Lee and gave Hutter a clean breakaway where he tucked in between the pads of Jacob Kamel.
James Thompson gave Top Cheese their first lead of the night early in the 2nd period when he scored twice while Brian Ross served a 4-minute penalty for a head contact play to Karim Riskallah. There will be a review on the play and a possible suspension looms for the Deadpucks player.
After that, it was ALL Deadpucks as Top Cheese would surrender nine unanswered goals, including the six consecutive goals by Hutter.
Not to be overshadowed by the brilliance of Hutter, linemate Andrew Ross had a productive night as well, notching a hat trick and picking up three assists.
The Deadpucks will move on to the next round to face the Ninja Pandas in the Semi-Finals match up.

Ninja Pandas Clinch 1st Place; Andrew Sammut Captures Scoring Title. 16 March 2025 | The Ninja Pandas are no strangers to regular season and playoff success and they once again proved that by cementing their status as the top team in the regular season, clinching home-ice advantage (choice of game time) for the entirety of their playoff run.
"It's nice to finish first and be recognized, but we play for the Championship Belt and we know how tough it is to get to the final game", said captain Matthew Tang.
The Pandas had a slow start to the season, losing three of their first four games before signing free-agent holdout, Kyle Sutherland and banishing another holdout player, Benjaming Tran to Robidas' Island for the season.
Those slick moves combined with top-notch goaltending and a stellar penalty-kill unit throughout the season propelled them to another 1st place finish.
Then Ninja Pandas will open their playoff run with a two-game matchup with the nWo Wolfpac.
Blades of S...er, I mean, Be Sharp sniper Andrew Sammut recorded a goal and added an assist to boost his total points for the season to 40, enough to claim the scoring title for the season.
It's been a remarkable turnaround feel-good story for Sammut, who was also banished to Robidas' Island for several seasons before making his return to the HNX post-Covid and slowly regaining his scoring form.
With the help of a heavy clapper and a keen scoring sense, Sammut potted 25 goals (including 2 GWGS) and 15 assists, while amassing only 4 penalty minutes all season.
His team, Be Sharp, will draw Jolleybees in a first-round matchup starting next Sunday at 9:45 pm.

Phamished Leaves Their Fans Starving After Blowing 2-Goal Lead In Final Minutes. 21 October 2024 | A battle for first overall saw a monumental collapse by team Phamished in the final three minutes that allowed the Jollybees to escape with a 4-4 tie.
"Disgraceful. I have few words to describe tonight's outcome", said a clearly frustrated Phamished netminder Jonathan Yamada.
After a pair of goals by sniper Chad Paquette - including a blistering wrist shot off a dazzling pass from linemate Darren Rodenhizer while shorthanded - put Phamished up 3-2 midway through the second period, speedster Leuis Choi seemingly put the game away late in the third period for his club with his fourth goal of the season.
But that's when the real fun began.
Less than a minute after Choi gave Phamised a 4-2 lead, Eric Ho picked up a loose puck while trailing linemate Ryan Kram, who entered the zone with a crafty deke. Ho zigged while his opponents zagged and roofed a puck over the shoulder of Yamada and briefly gave his team an extra breath of air.
However, whatever lifeline was given to the Jollybees was instantly punctured after defenseman Percy Poon and centerman Jon Burns took penalties les than a minute apart from each other giving Phamished a glorius 5-on-3 powerplay.
One goal lead, 5-on-3 powerplay with under two minutes remaining in the game - this game should be over, right?
This is HNX where no leads are actually safe.
The Jollybees finally caught a break of their own when Phamished defenseman, Morgan Keillor, was called for interference as his backhand attempt to keep the puck in the offensive zone left his stick high and caught a rushing James Thompson in the chest.
"That was a questionable call, it was a pretty weak call to be honest," said Keillor.
If you're still following, Phamished is now on a 4-on-3 with under a minute and a half to play and basically has to play keep-away for the remainder of the game.
Enter controversy, confusion and chaos and we have a tie game.
Confusion: With Poon's penalty killed, Jollybees retained possession and headed up the ice; their bench signalled for an extra attacker which now gave them five attackers. James Thompson picked off an errant clearing attempt by Nanako Kaneto and skated quickly into Phamished territory while their bench was screaming for a "Too Many Men" penalty, not realizing Jollybees had pulled their goalie.
Chaos: With possession in the zone now, Thompson's pass attempt to Poon ricochets of Choi's skate and lands back on Thompson's stick where his quick release is blocked by Kaneto - only to land back on his stick and allow him to catch a sprawling Yamada out of position and put the puck to the back of the net while the Jollybee bench goes absolutely bonkers.
"That was one of the craziest games and finishes I've been a part of", said referee Paul Salvas, who's officiated over hundreds of games for HNX.
